Lived it for a year. Visited for over a month on five occasions. And there are a great deal of adjectives to describe it. Sadly many are negative. There are some great things about China. But there is an awful lot wrong with it. No country is perfect. But China is far from so. Culture shock, yes. Cultured, rarely. Contradictory, often. China; rude, dirty and annoying for the most part. But interesting, yes, frustrating, most definitely. But also an unforgettable experience!

Fortunately you can immediately improve your situation by turning off the radio! I haven’t tested this myself but I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to have completely happy/positive thoughts while listening to PJ. Especially acoustic Pearl Jam!

Interesting… Meanwhile, my Zipcar membership was suspended because some douche at what I thought was a full-service gas station scammed $185 from the gas card. Of course, Zipcar told me the burden of proof lies with me, since they called the gas station and were told it is self-service, so now I have absolutely now way whatsoever of getting to my client appointments in the tri-state for work….and no recourse to prove my innocence. This after giving them repeated, costly business since early 2009. Thanks a bunch.
